About Favorite Pokemon
Favorite Pokemon is a free set of Pokemon tools for fans who want to pick favorites, build teams, check Pokemon natures, explore published poll results and rankings, and prepare for Pokemon Showdown. No sign-up, no paywalls, just fast tools that get to the decision.
What We Offer
- Favorite Pokemon Picker — A tournament-style quick picker that starts with six sampled Pokemon and asks you to make five head-to-head choices. After each session, you get a lightweight profile of the types and generations represented in those picks. For a longer personal Top 10, use Full Rank Mode.
- Pokemon Team Builder — A six-slot team planner for building a balanced Pokemon team, checking type coverage, and finding weak spots before you play.
- Pokemon Damage Calculator — A fast battle math tool for checking damage ranges, percent rolls, weather, terrain, items, natures, EVs, and KO chances before you commit to a move.
- Pokemon Vote Results — A read-only directory of externally published fan surveys, with original sources, sample sizes, methodology, and limitations. We do not collect votes.
- Pokemon Ranking 2026 — A top 50 popularity list with its methodology and supporting public sources stated on the page. Each entry includes why that Pokemon is popular.
- Pokemon Natures — A complete Pokemon natures chart and all Pokemon natures list for stat boosts, stat drops, Gen 3 nature mechanics, and best nature recommendations.
- Pokemon Showdown Tools — Unofficial companion pages for Pokemon Showdown team building, avatars, calculator links, and beginner workflow help.
How It Works
Core picker and team builder interactions run in your browser. The vote-results page is read-only and links back to each external publisher. We use static Pokemon data and locally cached sprite assets, so the tools stay fast and do not require an account. The Pokemon data comes from the PokeAPI, an open-source Pokemon database. Sprite images are based on the public PokeAPI sprites repository and served locally for speed and reliability.
Why We Built This
Every Pokemon fan has a favorite — but most pickers and tier lists make it hard to compare instinctive choices. We wanted a fast, low-commitment picker that records the route you took through one six-Pokemon sample, then lets you continue into a longer personal ranking when you want more evidence.
The result profile describes only that session. It is not a complete ranking of every Pokemon or a scientific personality test.
