Our favorite Pokemon picker uses a tournament bracket system. Here's what happens step by step:
- We load all 1,025 Pokémon from every generation (Gen 1 through Gen 9).
- Each round, we show you two Pokémon side by side.
- You click the one you like more — that's your favorite Pokemon of the pair.
- The winner advances to the next round. The loser is out.
- After about 10 rounds, only one Pokémon remains — your favorite Pokemon.
This head-to-head method is more accurate than a simple list because you only compare two at a time. It's the same format used in sports tournaments and voting systems worldwide.

A tier list asks you to sort many Pokémon at once. Our favorite Pokemon picker uses head-to-head matchups, which is more accurate because you only compare two at a time. It's the same method used in sports tournaments.
